The trekking trail to Chisapani and Nagarkot is fascinating, leading you via Mulkharka, Chisapani, and Chauki Bhanjyang, all of which are picturesque Tamang ethnic villages located at the lap of the natural beauties.

Chisapani Nagarkot Trek Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley

After taking breakfast in the hotel, you will be taken on a guided sightseeing tour of cultural heritages around the Kathmandu valley, including the Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. After exploring these UNESCO World Heritage sites, you will be escorted back to the hotel, where you can rest.

Day 2

Drive to Sundarijal (1,460m) and Trek to Chisapani (2,195m)

A scenic drive of around 90 minutes from Kathmandu takes us to Sundarijal, a famous tourist destination. On reaching Sundarijal, we commence our trek to Chisapani, which will take around 4 hours. We will hike through Shivapuri Watershed and National Park. Crossing a beautiful Tamang settlement called Mulkharka, we head down the ridge through forests to reach Chisapani.

Day 3

Trek to Nagarkot (2,195m) via Chaukai Bhanjyang

Early in the morning, we will set off to Nagarkot after observing the beautiful view of the northern mountains and the sunlight dying them red. Trekking through the Chaukai Bhanjyang, we will hike uphill and downhill to reach Nagarkot, which is one of the most famous tourist destinations. On a clear day, we can have a great view of the Himalayas stretching all the way from Dhaulagiri in the west to Everest and Kanchenjunga in the east.

Day 4

Trek down to Changunarayan (1,543m) and Drive back to Kathmandu

After enjoying the sunset and sunrise from the hilltop of Nagarkot, we will trek down the ancient route to Bhaktapur in the early morning via the small Newari town of Changunarayan. We will visit Bhaktapur, the most vibrant and preserved medieval town of Nepal, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, we will take a drive back to Kathmandu.
