Day 1

Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860m), and then Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Trek to Tengboche (3,867m)

We will have our stop after trekking for a few hours at Kyanjuma. It is an excellent time to walk in the region with the sweeping vista of the Everest Mahalangur Himalayan range.

From Kyanjuma, we will continue our trek through the beautiful part for 45 minutes to trek alongside the Phunki Tenga river. Trek to Lobuche (4,940m)

After continuous trekking for 3-4 hours, we arrive at our destination of Lobuche. It takes around 4-5 hours to complete our trekking journey to Lobuche. After trekking for some time, you will arrive at your destination and rest at a teahouse.

Day 6

Trek to Gorakshep (5,164m)- EBC (5,364m)-Gorak Shep. Helicopter flight back to Lukla

The trail on this trek section will take you through the beautiful settlements of the region to arrive at EBC. You will need to cross various challenges to arrive at the destination. Trekkers will have their breakfast in the area and then continue their journey to Gorak Shep, the last settlement you will find ahead of the EBC. In Gorakshep, you will rest and have lunch in the region.

From Gorakshep, we will continue our trek in the region. The trail then leads you to the beautiful trails that are pretty challenging. The tracks then take you through the magnificent courses to arrive at the destination of EBC. After arriving at EBC, pass through the moraines and dunes of the region. The trek trails pass through the region, observing the area's beautiful Khumbu glacier, icefalls, and other snow-clad mountains.

Everest Base Camp has an incredible atmosphere, with climbers and their Sherpa guides preparing for their spectacular expedition to the top of Mt. Everest. After visiting Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, trekkers usually fly back by helicopter from Gorakshep, depending on weather conditions. The helicopter flight gives incredible aerial views of glaciers, mountains, and the Khumbu Valley.

Are Lukla flights included in the package?

Yes, your package will include the Lukla flight. Depending on the trekking season and air traffic, your departure route will either be Kathmandu or Ramechhap. We will confirm the flight details in advance, provide you with all the useful information regarding the flight and keep you updated on any operational charges.

Is the Everest Base Camp Trek 7 Days more expensive than regular EBC treks?

Yes, helicopter return packages are generally more expensive because of helicopter logistics and limited flight availability. However, many trekkers feel the time saved and scenic helicopter flight make it worth it.

How fit do I need to be for the Everest Base Camp Trek 7 Days?

You have to be fit enough to walk 5-7 hours for consecutive days. One common mistake first-time trekkers make is understimating how tiring multiple-day trekking can be, especially at high altitudes. Regular hiking or cardio a few times a week for 2 months before your departure definitely helps you enjoy the trek more.

What kind of accommodation is available during the trek?

The most common accommodation during the Everest Base Camp trek is in teahouses or lodges. In lower sections like Phakding and Namche, you can find comfortable lodges with attached bathrooms. As we head higher to Lobuche and Gorakshep, the rooms get simpler, and the shared facilities are more common.

What happens if Lukla flights are delayed or cancelled?

We have seen a lots of short delays and flight cancellations over the years. In fact, it's quite common due to the frequent weather changes in Lukla. In such a case, we will work to reschedule the next flight based on availability. You can also go with the helicopter option at an additional cost or drive to Salleri. This is exactly why we advise keeping buffer days in your schedule.

Do I need a guide for the Everest Base Camp Trek 7 Days?

As of the recent regulation, trekkers must be accompanied by a licensed guide in the Everest Region. The Nepali law no longer allows solo trekking in this region.
